Endurance Canyon
Coordinates: 69 ° 30 ′ S , 48 ° 0 ′ W
The Endurance Canyon is a deep sea trench in the Weddell Sea . It is north of the Filchner-Ronne Ice Shelf .
It is named after the Endurance , the ship of the Endurance expedition (1914-1917) under the direction of the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton (1874-1922).
