The Energy Consumption Relevant Products Act (EVPG) implements the EU Ecodesign Directive (RL 2009/125 / EC, previously RL 2005/32 / EC) into German law and came into force on March 7, 2008. The deadline for implementing the directive was set for August 11, 2007.
Section 10 EVPG determines the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) as the commissioned body . The commissioned body serves in particular to coordinate the responsible state authorities and to inform the public.
