Energy informatics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The energy computer science is a field of computer science , the methods from computer science and related fields such as electrical engineering , cybernetics , automation and economics researches, develops and uses complex issues energy systems to solve. Such questions include the design, operation and optimization of distributed, heterogeneous and networked energy systems and aim at a safe, reliable, sustainable and efficient energy supply in the smart grid .

Various universities offer bachelor's and master's degrees with a focus on energy informatics.
