Gut Schlichthorst
The Schlichthorst estate goes back to the Fürstenau Drosten Eberhard Möring, who bought the Tebbe tor Slichthorst inheritance in 1528 and expanded it into an estate. It was sold several times over the centuries and in 1905 it came to Clemens Freiherr von Schorlemer. Since 1973 the property has been used by the workers' welfare organization to care for mentally ill people.
St. Clemens Schlichthorst
The Gutskapelle St. Clemens Schlichthorst was built in 1906 by the von Schorlemer family and the Catholics of the Engelern and Döllinghausen communities.
