The Englisch Verlag GmbH was a German non-fiction book publisher in the field of arts and crafts . The publishing house was in Wiesbaden .
history
The publishing house was founded in 1973 by Iring Englisch and published in-house productions that were supervised by the publisher's own editing department. By 2008, 1500 titles by around 120 authors had been published. The publisher brought out around 35 new publications annually and had 180 titles in its range.
With effect from January 1, 2010, the English publishing house was taken over by Christophorus Verlag GmbH & Co. KG in Freiburg. The publishing office in Wiesbaden remained with the takeover.
Publishing program
The program with titles on acrylic painting , watercolor painting , oil painting and pastel painting , on drawing , on special and individual topics as well as arts and crafts was structured according to a didactic knowledge pyramid. The six book series Painting with Success , Participation Book , Workshop , Art Guide , Art Workshop and Art Academy are aimed at beginners as well as amateur artists. The authors included artists and lecturers who prepared their specialist knowledge in an educational manner.
