Christophorus Verlag
The Christopher Publishing is a book publisher and guidebooks on the subjects of handicrafts, crafts, creative design and art, as well as for decorating and home improvement. He has been part of the GeraNova Bruckmann publishing house since September 1, 2018. The managing directors are Clemens Schüssler, Henry Allgaier and Claus W. Küster.
The publisher was a company of the Mediagroup Medweth, which also unites the magazine publishers Vision Media, Family Media, OZ-Verlag as well as BPV, BPV-Direct and the marketing company Brand Media , which was founded jointly with Jahreszeiten Verlag .
The publishing house in its current legal form was founded on January 1st, 2009 at the Freiburg location and is a merger of the creative book division of OZ-Verlags-GmbH in Rheinfelden and the creative program from the Kreuz publishing house . In January 2010, the English publishing house from Wiesbaden was also taken over, thereby expanding the "Art Advisory" division. The publishing office in Wiesbaden remained. The entire book business of the Media Group Medweth was brought together in Christophorus Verlag. In the course of this, the Velber children's books were integrated into the publishing house and continued from there. At the end of 2015 the publishing house moved from Freiburg im Breisgau to Rheinfelden . On September 1, 2018, Christophorus Verlag was sold to the publishing house GeraNova Bruckmann .
Today's Christophorus Verlag had a predecessor founded in 1935, which "began as a small religious publisher" and until 2009 belonged to the Herder publishing group .
