In 2003 the publishers Bruckmann and GeraNova (today GeraMond ) were united under the roof of the GeraNova Bruckmann publishing house. In 2004, CJ Bucher Verlag (now Bucher Verlag ) and J. Berg Verlag were added. In June 2008 the publishing house GeraNova Bruckmann took over the two publishers Christian Verlag and Frederking & Thaler from Prestel Verlag .

From 2009 to 2015 GeraNova Bruckmann published together with Gong Verlag in Landidee Verlags GmbH the magazine Landidee as well as Landidee Wohnen & Deko , Landapotheke , Landfrisch , Landgarten and thematic recipe books. At the beginning of 2017, the publishing house took over Silberburg-Verlag from Tübingen, and on November 1st, Christian Verlag , a subsidiary of GeraNova Bruckmann Verlagshaus GmbH, took over the book program of Christophorus Verlag . On November 1, 2018, the publishing house bought the title “ Heimat Wohnen” from Hamburg's Jahreszeiten Verlag .

As of January 1, 2020, GeraNova Bruckmann will become the licensee and publisher of the German-language National Geographic Magazine, the National Geographic Traveler Magazine and the National Geographic Special Editions. This new agreement extends the relationship between the two companies, which already includes a licensing partnership for the publication of the German-language National Geographic books.
