Eno Transportation Foundation

The Eno Transportation Foundation is a non-profit foundation founded by William Phelps Eno in the USA in 1921 to increase road safety. Its original name was Eno Foundation for Highway Traffic Control . The foundation is currently also concerned with air and sea transport, railways and problems of intermodal transport. The foundation offers relevant courses and publications. Its headquarters are in Washington, DC

In accordance with its mission statement, the foundation is committed to the continuous improvement of transport and to increasing mobility, safety and sustainability in traffic. In this sense, she also advocates (in a press release of May 3, 2011) for a strengthening of the role of public transport, for the renovation of the existing transport infrastructure as a priority over new buildings and for user charges on motorways. In about 20 years, the foundation has trained over 3,000 transport specialists in courses.
