history
Beginning in 1948, the community of Ensingen looked for water for the public water supply. The water found by drilling at the foot of the Eselsberg was too hard, with a hardness of 110 degrees , to be used as drinking water . In 1952, Wilhelm Fritz Senior, a local former beverage dealer, whose business had been destroyed by air raids in World War II, bought the boreholes and laid the foundation for the development of Ensinger Mineral-Heilquellen GmbH with the establishment of Ensinger Sprudel . The mineral water from the Ensingen wells was initially marketed as medicinal water under the Medicines Act. Due to the increasing demand for mineral water, further wells were tapped in the following years. In 1999, a new logistics center with an administrative building was built on a property area of 44,600 square meters. Today (2019) the family business pumps its water from eight wells. In 2018, sales of around 48 million euros were generated with an annual filling volume of 120 million liters.
Products

The wells
The water that is used to fill the medicinal water and mineral water comes from the Gips- Keuper area of the Ensinger valley basin and is pumped from depths between 45 and 100 meters. Through its seepage process, it extracts numerous minerals from the rock.
Two other sources are the natural and gourmet sources , which provide a different mineral water, with less mineral content and a milder taste.
