Development model
Development models (also: level models, development theories, step models, step theories, step concepts) are scientific descriptions of processes in which individual steps and phases can be identified and their sequence empirically investigated and predicted; the most important relate to
- the development of inanimate matter, starting from the Big Bang , investigated through cosmology and chemistry ,
- the biological evolution , the evolution of life on Earth, examined by the biology and interpreted by the theory of evolution ,
- the ontogeny or maturation of an individual, examined by developmental psychology and shaped by pedagogy ,
- the socio-cultural evolution of groups, societies and humanity as a whole, studied through the social sciences ,
- the religious development of man, examined through religious studies and psychology ,
- examines the economic development of cities, regions, societies, countries and continents as well as the global economic development through economics ,
- the program development of a software, see process model (software) .
