Eparchy of Yaroslavl and Rostov

The Yaroslavl and Rostov Eparchy is an eparchy ( diocese ) of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Russian Oblast of Yaroslavl . The head is Metropolitan Panteleimon.

The eparchy was formed in 992 as the Rostov eparchy and is one of the oldest dioceses of the Kievan Rus. In 1788 its seat was moved to Yaroslavl.

Today there are 21 monasteries in the eparchy.
