Episode guide

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An episode guide (also an episode list or episode guide ) is a compilation of the individual episodes of a television series along with a table of contents and additional information for each individual episode.

The additional information includes about the people participating in the individual episode actor , the director or background information such as locations. In the case of a real episode guide, the table of contents contains the essential content and the resolution or representation of the end. In particular, representations by production companies or television stations contain a table of contents only in the form of a teaser and are therefore not full-fledged episode guides.

Often the dates of the first broadcast and - if available - the so-called production code, an alphanumeric information to clearly identify an individual episode of a series, are also listed. In this way, time gaps in the broadcast and differences in the production and broadcast sequence can be made clear, which in some series can sometimes differ significantly from each other.
