Eppo from Merseburg

Eppo von Merseburg was Bishop of Merseburg in 1085.

There is only a brief mention of him in the Merseburg episcopal chronicle . After Werner was deposed by King Heinrich IV at the Mainz Synod in April or May 1085 in July / August of the same year, Eppo was installed as his successor. The chronicle of bishops speaks of Werner's temporary expulsion.
