Epyaxa
Epyaxa (Ἐπύαξα) was the queen of Cilicia around 400 BC. And wife of King Syennesis .
Xenophon mentions it in connection with Cyrus the Younger's journey to Babylonia. Accordingly, Epyaxa generously supported Cyrus with money and accompanied him from the plain of Kestros in Pamphylia through all of Lycaonia . In Tarsos , the capital of the Kilikian Empire at that time, the royal couple again provided him with financial means and food. Probably because of this close alliance, the legend of an amorous relationship between Epyaxa and Cyrus arose.
