The Order of Builders of People's Poland ( Polish : Order Budowniczych Polski Ludowej ) was the highest civil honor of the People's Republic of Poland . The highest order in Poland before World War II, the Order of the White Eagle , was not awarded by the People's Republic.

history

The order was established by the Sejm on July 2, 1949 . The medal awarded by the Polish President or the State Presidium had only one class. A total of 310 people and 10 institutions received the medal. The last award took place in 1985. The order was officially abolished in 1992.
