Inheritance
Erbschänke or inheritance tavern is an inherited and inheritable tavern, i.e. hereditary tavern . In Silesia and in the Saxon or Sorbian-speaking area also Erbkretzscham (from Kretscham ), in Lower Saxony referred to as Erbkrug. Its owners are then Erbkretzschmar or Erbkrüger. In the Mark Brandenburg those innkeepers were called Erbkrüger, who had the right to be allowed to brew their own (see Brauschenke or Braukrug ). Often the estate also belonged to the owner of the inheritance court , which is why numerous former inheritance taverns are still called inheritance courts .
