Pea gun

The classic pea pistol is a spring pressure weapon and uses spring force to fire dried peas or small plastic balls with a diameter of about 6 mm. While the pea pistol used to be a popular toy , it has recently been replaced by the more technically advanced airsoft pistols.

In Germany, the kinetic projectile energy must not exceed a value of 0.08 joules in accordance with the toy regulations according to DIN EN 71-1 . The guideline value used to be 0.8 joules.
