Spring pressure weapon

According to the German Weapons Act , spring pressure weapons are firearms in which either spring force directly drives a projectile (also known as spring force weapons ) or a spring-loaded piston is moved in a cylinder and an air cushion ( compressed air weapon ) generated by the piston drives the projectile.

The best- known representatives of spring pressure weapons with a direct force effect on the projectile are pea pistols . The spring-loaded guns with spring-loaded pistons primarily include air pistols with a simple design .

Bow weapons are usually not referred to as spring pressure weapons .
