Ercole Ciprandi

Ercole Ciprandi (around 1730 - after 1790) was an Italian opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Little is known about Ciprandi's origins, training and career. In November 1754 he sang “Danao” in the opera Ipermestra by Johann Adolph Hasse and Giovanni Battista Lampugnani at the London King's Theater. He stayed there until April 1755, but worked again at the same theater from 1764 to 1766. According to a report by the music critic Burnley, he is said to have worked as a successful opera singer in Milan in 1770.
