Erhard Fuchs

Erhard Fuchs (* before 1945; † June 12, 1995 ) was a German dialect caretaker and author.

In the period after the Second World War he made a name for himself in the Silesian dialect and poetry. He founded a Silesian regional group early on in the Federal Republic of Germany and also founded the Doas Banker Krumpholz paper, which appears regularly and maintains the Silesian dialect . Texts by Fuchs, who was considered an excellent reciter of Silesian folk literature, appeared in magazines, but also spoken by himself on records and could be heard on the radio.

The working group Friends of Silesian Dialect , which had existed since 1965 and in which he held leading positions for a long time, was renamed the Erhard Fuchs Circle (EFK) after Fuchs' death in 1995 .
