Erhardt Buttmann
Erhardt Buttmann , also Erhard Buttman (* around 1464 , † October 20, 1559 in Nuremberg ) was a German printer .
He came to the house of the Twelve Brothers Foundation on the recommendation of the typist and arithmetic master Johann Neudörffer the Elder .
The text above the depiction of the printer Erhardt Buttmann and his assistant at the printing press reads:
“Erhardt Buttman A book printer is on the furbytt H (errn) Johan Neudorffers come to the Brothers Hauß on the 6th of November, 1554 of his age in the 90th.
Dyser's brother died in the brother house on October 20, 1559 of his age in the year of 96, and has been a very pious old man to show and test for Mr. Johan Neudorffer vil good, whom he also loved. And is dyß the brother in dysem almussen. "
