Eric Jacobson (trumpeter)
Eric Jacobson (* around 1975) is an American jazz trumpeter.
Jacobson studied from 1993 to 1997 at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater trumpet with Frank Hanson and jazz music with Steve Wiest . He has also taken lessons from Brian Lynch , Alex Norris , Ryan Kisor , David Cooper , Mike Plog , Allen Johnson , Jim Rotondi and Wynton Marsalis . From 2010 to 2013 he was on international tours with the soul band Kings Go Forth .
Since 2010 he has been the trumpeter of the jazz sextet We Six , for which he also wrote arrangements and compositions. He has also performed in Chicago at the Green Mill with the Chicago Yestet group and in Andy's Jazz Club with the Chicago Jazz Orchestra and has often worked with the Milwaukee-based Latin band De la Buena . As a studio musician he recorded The Sweet Minute Big Band with Johannes Wallmann and the CD Human Kindness with Willie Porter . He recorded Discover , a CD as a band leader, for Brian Lynch's jazz label Holistic MusicWorks .
