Erich Prattes

Erich Prattes (born March 4, 1947 in Leoben ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and community employee. Prattes has been a member of the Styrian state parliament and club chairman since 2000 .

After primary and secondary school, Prattes attended a commercial school and later graduated from the B-Matura. He works as a community worker. Politically, Prattes is active as SPÖ district chairman in the Leoben district and was a long-time SPÖ club chairman in the Leoben municipal council. In June 2009 he resigned from his position as club chairman and announced that he would no longer run for the local council in the upcoming election. Since November 7, 2000, Prattes has represented the SPÖ in the Styrian state parliament, where he has been the area spokesman for the European Union since 2008.

Prattes is married and has three grown daughters.
