Commemorative coin from 1863

The commemorative coin from 1863 was donated by King Wilhelm I of Prussia on March 17, 1863 and awarded to the still living participants in the campaigns of 1813, 1814 and 1815 as a renewed token of recognition.

The round medal made of bronze shows the left-facing bust of Friedrich Wilhelm III. with the inscription FRIEDR. WILHELM III KING V. PRUSSIA . Below is a ribbon on laurel branches with the year 1813 1814 1815 . On the reverse the crowned letter R , on which the initial of the donor W (Rex Wilhelm) hangs. Below is a laurel branch ( left) and an oak branch (right).

The award was worn on a black ribbon with a green middle and white side stripe on the left side of the chest.
