Church of the Redeemer (Erding)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Protestant Church of the Redeemer is in the Erdingen district of Klettham .

history

The church was consecrated on July 13, 1963. The construction became necessary after the Christ Church no longer met the requirements due to the growing congregation, especially after many soldiers' families moved here in the early 1960s due to the Erding air base .

The Munich architect Hans-Busso von Busse built the church as an idiosyncratic structure with a tent-like roof made of glued laminated timber .

The Erlöserkirche has been a listed building since 2001. It was renovated in 2019.
