The Erlöserkirche ( listen ? / I ) is the only Protestant church in the Upper Palatinate district town of Tirschenreuth in the Regensburg parish , it was built at the beginning of the 20th century. Audio file / audio sample

Due to industrialization , Protestants also settled again in the city, which was mostly inhabited by Catholics, in the middle of the 19th century. That is why in 1904 the restaurant for the gymnasium and a dance hall south of the old town were bought and converted into a church and a Protestant kindergarten.

It only became an independent parish in 1940. In 1963 the building was renovated and in 1964 a new church tower was added. For the 100th anniversary of the Erlöserkirche, it was renovated again.
