Ernest Augustus Ritter

Ernest Augustus Ritter (* 1890 in Dundee (South Africa) ; † unknown) was a South African historian .

Ernest Augustus Ritter was a son of Captain CLA Ritter, a German military adventurer who got a position in the administration of the colony of Natal . He grew up in the Zulu language . He wrote a biography of the Zulu ruler Shaka . In his book he also relied on oral traditions.
