Ernesto Sanz

Ernesto Sanz (born December 9, 1956 in San Rafael , San Rafael Department ) is an Argentine politician .

Life

After leaving school, Ernesto Sanzab studied law in 1976 at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral in Santa Fe . After completing his studies, he worked as a lawyer from 1981. Sanz became a member of the Unión Cívica Radical . From 1999 to 2003, Sanz was mayor of San Rafael . In 2003 he became a senator in the Senado de la Nación . He was a member of this until 2015. Sanz was chairman of the Unión Cívica Radical from 2013 to 2015. When the UCR under Sanz joined the electoral alliance Cambiemos in 2015, Sanz ran in the internal nomination elections for the 2015 presidential candidate . He ended up well behind the eventual winner Mauricio Macri . He was traded for a ministerial post in the Macri cabinet, but refused to join the government and resigned from all party offices.

He is married to Cristina Bessone.
