Ernst Apeltauer (* 1946 ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

After receiving his doctorate in Münster in 1978, he taught German as a foreign language as a professor in Flensburg from 1987 onwards .

His research areas are bilingual development in preschool and elementary school children, intercultural communication, in particular the function of non-verbal communication in intercultural communication and in second language teaching, writing in two languages, language level indicators (verbs, cases, pronouns), autostereotypes and heterostereotypes of students and teachers and Media as a factor in intercultural communication.
