Ernst Bertram (actor)

Ernst Bertram ( April 28, 1865 in Magdeburg - June 7, 1914 in Wiesbaden ) was a German theater actor .

Life

Bertram, son of the opera singers Heinrich and Marie Bertram turned to acting and was at larger theaters such as Moscow, Cologne, Breslau (Lobe and Stadttheater), Magdeburg and Weimar mostly as a bon vivant ("Reif-Reiflingen", "Schummerich", " Kalb ”etc.) artistically active. In 1898 he was a member of the Nuremberg City Theater, until 1901 in Königsberg, then in Hanover and from 1908 in Wiesbaden.

The opera singer Theodor Bertram was his brother.
