Ernst Holzmann

Ernst Holzmann (born June 30, 1963 in Vienna ) is an Austrian civil servant and politician ( SPÖ ). He has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council since 2008 .

education and profession

After completing compulsory school, Holzmann attended the police internship school from 1978 to 1981 and passed the service examination in 1982. From 1981 to 1983 he worked as a security guard and from 1984 to 1985 a regular soldier. After Holzmann had worked as a taxi driver in 1986, he worked as a chauffeur from 1986 to 1991 and from 1991 to 2001 contract employee at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management. In 2001 he was made a civil servant.

politics

Holzmann has been a member and employee of the SPÖ- Simmering since 1985 and has been the section head of Section 9 in Simmering since 1997. From 1999 to 2008 he was district councilor in Simmering and from 2001 to 2008 chairman of the Simmering Transport Commission. Holzmann has been chairman of the agency committee of the staff representation at the Federal Office for Water Management since 1995 and since 2002 a member of the central committee of the staff representation at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management.

Ernst Holzmann has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the City Council of Vienna since October 29, 2008. After Johann Hatzl left, he moved up to the state parliament and local council.

Private

Holzmann is married and has two sons.
