Ernst Preuse

Ernst Preuse (in Stettin before 1886 - after 1904) was a German opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Preuse began his stage career in 1886 in Königsberg, came to Altenburg in 1887, in 1888 to Chemnitz, 1889 to Elberfeld, 1891 to Breslau, 1892 to Riga, worked in Gdansk from 1893 to 1898, then in Nuremberg and joined the Strasbourg City Theater Association in 1899, where he made his debut as a "hunter" in the night camp .

Preuse was a very useful singer and represented the subject of lyric tenor with success. His most notable roles included a. "Trumpeter", "Wolfram", "Onegin", "Jäger" etc.

He married the opera singer Margarete Matzenauer on July 26, 1904 .
