Ernst Schoiber

Ernst Schoiber (born February 28, 1908 in St. Pölten ; † December 13, 1990 in Scheibbs ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and president of the state school board. From 1964 to 1974 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria .

Life

After finishing elementary and community school, Ernst Schoiber attended the St. Pölten teacher training institute and then worked as an elementary and secondary school teacher. He served in World War II from 1942 and returned from captivity in 1947. In 1952 he took over the position of a district school inspector, after which he was executive president of the state school board between 1959 and 1975 , where he was significantly involved in the expansion of the secondary schools and the reduction of the primary schools. In addition, Schoiber represented the ÖVP between November 19, 1964 and July 11, 1974 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
