In banking, an income statement is a compilation of all investment income from current accounts and securities accounts of a customer at his bank as of December 31 of each year.

The return shall cover all credit interest on current accounts ( demand deposits , daily allowances , time deposits or savings accounts ) or savings bonds and all in securities safekeeping accounts securities ( dividends on shares , interest income on bonds or Earnings in investment funds ).

The income statement is issued for tax purposes and supplements the annual tax certificate .
