Erxian

Erxian ( Chinese  二弦 , Pinyin èrxián  - "two-string") is a two-stringed Chinese tube skewer that is bowed with a bow . The erxian resembles - like many other regional variants - the erhu . It is used in the music of Canton , Chaozhou and the Nanguan music of Fujian . In the old Chinese musical instrument categorization Bayin ("Eight Sounds") it belongs to the category of silk.
