Esmail Bakhshi

Esmail Bakhshi ( Persian : اسماعیل بخشی) is an Iranian trade unionist.

Bakhshi represents the Independent Workers' Council of the employees of the "Haft Tapeh" sugar factory in Khuzestan . He was arrested with other workers on November 18, 2018 in Schusch during labor protests in the local sugar cane factory. Haft Tappeh Sugarcane employees protested for months against unpaid wages, the privatization of the company and the imprisonment of workers. All workers except Bakhshi were released on bail.

On November 29, 2018, the Iranian Bus Drivers Union issued a statement announcing that Esmail Bakhshi had been hospitalized.
