Esmat Shanwary (born October 9, 1993 in Kabul , Afghanistan ) is a Dutch football player of Afghan descent. He currently plays for GVVV and the Afghan national soccer team .
Career
In his youth, Shanwary played for the Dutch football club NEC Nijmegen from 2003 to 2009 , from 2009 to 2012 he played for NEC / FC Oss and from 2012 to 2014 for FC Utrecht . He then played with Achilles '29 from 2014 to 2015 and with GVVV since 2014 .
On May 29, 2015, he played his first international match for Afghanistan against Laos . On June 2, 2015, he scored his first international goal during a friendly against Bangladesh .
