The Estadio Jardines del Hipódromo is a stadium in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .
It opened on August 25, 1957. The stadium was renovated in 2000 and 2006, which also increased the number of spectators. It now holds 18,000 spectators. (Other sources assume a capacity of only 16,000 visitors) The arena is currently mainly used as a football stadium. The local football club Danubio FC plays its home games here.
