Oleško (German Woleschko ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers southeast of Lovosice and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice .
geography
The village is located to the left of the Elbe on the southern edge of the Travčický les forest area. In the northwest rises the Mrchový Kopec (211 m). The Libotenická strouha trench begins in Oleško. The railway line from Lovosice to Roudnice nad Labem runs south of the village , where Oleško has a train stop.
Neighboring towns are Travčice in the north, Nučničky in the northeast, Libotenice in the east, Hrobce in the southeast, Rohatce in the south, Dolánky nad Ohří in the southwest and Hrdly in the west,
history
Oleško was first mentioned in 1226 in a document by Ottokar I Přemysl as the property of the Doksany monastery .
In 1848 the village, consisting of 19 houses, became independent after the patrimonial rule was replaced.
