Nové Dvory (German Neuhof ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers northwest of Roudnice nad Labem and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice .
geography
The elongated street village is on the right side of the Eger along the Čepel stream in a side valley. In the north rises the 209 m high Skála hill. The route of the D8 / European route 55 runs south of the village with exit 35 "Doksany". State road 608 runs west of Nové Dvory between Budyně nad Ohří and Terezín .
Neighboring towns are Skála in the north, Rohatce in the north-east, Židovice in the east, Chvalín in the south-east, Dušníky in the south, Hradčany, Hostěnice and Kliment in the south-west and Doksany in the north-west.
history
Nové Dvory was built after the destruction of the town of Mury on the island of St. Kliment by the Eger floods in 1432 in a safe location in front of the river as a new settlement for its residents. The first documentary mention was made in 1437 when King Sigismund confirmed the possession of Hanuš and Jindřich von Kolowrat .

The municipality Nové Dvory consists of the districts Chvalín ( Chwalin , older also Qwalin ) and Nové Dvory ( Neuhof ), which also form cadastral districts.
