The place Trebusici was probably founded before 1050. A document dated 1257, which is a copy of an original from 1050, shows that at that time a monastery of the Johanniter and a monastery church already existed. Since 1169 the owner of the place was the castellan von Leitmeritz, Bleh von Trebussen, a relative of the Hroznata von Ovenec and ancestor of the Slavata von Chlum and Koschumberg . The Magnatenhof Blehs was in Triebsch. Hroznata himself owned Pitschkowitz and Plahow , his brother Hroznata Crispus was the owner of Ploschkowitz . After 1197 the Teutonic Knights took over the seat of power, which in 1288 became part of the Kommende Pitschkowitz. The importance of Triebsch lay in the fact that the place was on the then important Zittauer Weg, a trade route from Leitmeritz to Zittau . In 1496 Johann von Wartenberg became the owner of Triebsch. The place stayed in his family until 1540. In 1575 the next owner, Ulrich Dubansky von Duban, died, which is why the Triebsch estate was separated from Ploschkowitz and came into the possession of Ulrich Hostakowsky von Arkleitz. In 1600 this noble family died out and Triebsch went to the Kaplirz de Sulewicz .

After the Battle of the White Mountains , the property of Emil Kaplirz de Sulewicz was expropriated on June 21, 1621 and transferred to Dr. Paul Wenzelius von Bochau sold. During the Thirty Years' War , evangelical Swedish troops invaded and destroyed the castle. In 1649 a plague epidemic took off almost the entire population. The first village school was established in 1660 and compulsory schooling was introduced for all children in the village. It was used as a model for all Bohemian village schools. In 1680 the Triebsch rule came to Franz Karl Kressl von Qualtenberg through marriage. The dean and later bishop of Leitmeritz, Ferdinand Kindermann , had a new, larger school built in Triebsch in the same year with financial support from Kressl.

In 1710, according to plans by Octavio Broggio, the new chateau ( Třebušín chateau ) was built, which was surrounded by a baroque chateau garden. On the site of a previous building from 1352, the landlord Freiherr von Qualtenberg built the baroque St. Nicholas Church. In 1724 a small chapel was added to it, which was consecrated to St. John Nepomuk. The rectory from 1713 is also built in the baroque style. A plague column decorated with a cross was erected in the village square in front of the castle in 1726. In 1802 Triebsch came into the possession of the Barons von Puteani through inheritance and from 1913 through sale to the Männel family. In 1873 the neighboring village of Kelch burned down to a large extent in a large fire.

The residents of Triebsch lived primarily from farming and growing fruit and hops. Triebsch had been a summer resort since the end of the 19th century and in 1890 had 540 inhabitants. In 1928 the village of Kelch was incorporated.

A campsite and an outdoor swimming pool were created by the Machčák pond in the south of Třebušín. The castle hotel Hubertus was located in the castle until 2010 ; later new name "Zamek Kalich" (Kelch Castle).
