The Litýš (German Litaisch , 435 m) is a conical elevation in the Bohemian Central Uplands on the right Elbe , located southeast of Třebušín and west of the significantly higher Sedlo Mountain .

On the summit are the remains of a castle of the same name, which Siegmund (also Sigismund, Zikmund) had built by Wartenberg on Tetschen around 1422 .

The location and the builder of the castle suggest that it was supposed to be used for the fight against the Hussites , as it was not far from the Kelchburg, which was ruled by the Hussite leader Jan Žižka , and Siegmund was a prominent opponent of the Hussite movement. The castle remained in the possession of the Wartenberg family until the beginning of the 16th century; Nothing is known about the circumstances of its decline; it was abandoned in 1544 and described by Balbín in 1680 as "nameless". There are still some walls, ditches and remains of buildings.

The best way to reach the mountain is via its south side on the original, partly still well-preserved castle path. The summit region is forested and hardly allows any views.
