Yuri Alexandrovich Bilibin
Yuri Alexandrowitsch Bilibin ( Russian Ю́рий Алекса́ндрович Били́бин ; born May 19, 1901 in Rostov ; † May 4, 1952 in Leningrad ) was a Soviet geologist , corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and recipient of the Stalin Prize (1946, for his services to Development of gold deposits in Northeast Siberia).
The place Bilibino was named after him (city since 1993), which was created shortly after his death in connection with gold discoveries.
