Záluží (German Salusch ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers northeast of Roudnice nad Labem in the Elbe Valley and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice .
geography
The village is located on the left bank of the Elbe upstream from Roudnice nad Labem. The railway line between Roudnice nad Labem and Mělník , where Záluží has a train stop, runs south of the village . Beyond the railway line is the Račice rowing canal .
Neighboring towns are Mastířovice and Kochovice in the north, Velešice in the northeast, Račice in the east, Hněvice and Benzínov in the southeast, Předonín in the south, Dobříň and Kozlovice in the southwest and Brzánky in the west.
history
Záluží and Kozlovice were first mentioned in 1295 when Wenceslaus II left the villages to the Prague bishop Tobias von Bechin . In 1577 Wilhelm von Rosenberg bought the village, later it was owned by the Lobkowicz family .

The municipality Záluží consists of the districts Kozlovice ( Koslowitz ) and Záluží ( Salusch ).
