Chotiněves (German Kuttendorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eleven kilometers east of Litoměřice and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice .
geography
The village is located at the northeastern foot of the 371 meter high Hořidla ( Horschigel ). State road 240 between Liběšice and Roudnice nad Labem runs through Chotiněves .
Neighboring towns are Dolní Chobolice in the north, Liběšice in the north-east, Lada in the east, Břehoryje in the south-east, Jištěrpy in the south, Třebutičky in the south-west, Horní Řepčice in the west and Soběnice and Mladé in the north-west.
history
Chotiniewes was first mentioned in documents in 1323 as the property of the Diviš von Sovenice. The district Jištěrpy was named as villa Desecripi as early as 1057 .
Chotiněves formed one of the 14th century Veste Liběšice subordinate rule. The owners included Albert von Friedland, Škopek von Dubá, Berka von Dubá , Dubanský von Duban and Georg Wilhelm Sezimov from Sezimovo Ústí, whose property was confiscated after the Battle of White Mountain . 1623 received the Jesuit College of St. Kliment in Prague from the confiscated goods Sezimovs the rule Liběšice, the village Jištěrpy and part of the rule Úštěk with the villages Tetčiněves and Rochov.
In 1680 the plague broke out in Chotiněves and only three families survived. In the course of the dissolution of the Jesuit order , their property was given to the religious fund in 1773. In 1838 the Duke of Roudnice nad Labem , Ferdinand Prince Lobkowicz on Enzowan, acquired the Liběšice and Úštěk lords. Ten years later, Kuttendorf became an independent municipality after the patrimonial rule was replaced. Traditionally, the inhabitants of the village lived from growing hops and fruit.
In 1871 the Lobkowicz sold the Liebeschitz Castle and all goods belonging to it to the textile manufacturer Josef Schroll . In the first half of the 20th century the Horschigel-Baude was built on the Horschigel, which no longer exists today. In 1930 there were 351 people living in Kuttendorf, 345 of whom were German-speaking. After the Second World War , the German residents were expelled and Wolhynientschechen settled.
