Chodouny (German Chodaun , older also Goduin (1273), Chotaun ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north of Roudnice nad Labem and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice .
geography
The village is located on the right bank of the Elbe, about one kilometer from the river. State road 240 between Roudnice nad Labem and Litoměřice runs through Chodouny .
Neighboring towns are Polepy in the north, Záhorecký Mlýn and Vrutice in the northeast, Vrbice and Vetlá in the east, Kyškovice in the southeast, Černěves in the south, Hrobce in the southwest, Libotenice in the west and Lounky in the northwest.
history
Chodouny was first mentioned in a document in 1226 in a certificate of ownership for the Doksany monastery by Ottokar I. Přemysl . In the course of time the village was also known as Chodomy or Chudumy. Chodouny has as space village on a regular and closed construction, the center of which forms a square square.
The district of Lounky on the Elbe, which was first mentioned in 1088, is older.

The municipality of Chodouny consists of the districts Chodouny ( Chodaun ) and Lounky ( Launken , older also Lunich , Lune ), which at the same time also form cadastral districts.
