history

The first written mention of Lubothinicz was in a certificate of confirmation by Ottokar I. Přemysl from 1226, in which he confirmed the rights granted by Vladislav II in 1150 to the Doksany monastery . In 1522 the village consisted of 15 farmsteads. To the north was the village of Chodžovice, which fell desolate. Only its church has been preserved and from 1703 onwards, Octavio Broggio made it Baroque.

The place was destroyed by fires several times and the abbot Norbert of the Doxan monastery described in 1641 that on June 18 the farmers of Liboteinitz were baking fish and were outraged by the fire that had turned the entire village into ashes .

The site was partially flooded by the Elbe floods in 2002.
