Kyškovice (German Kischkowitz , also Kisskowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers northeast of the city center of Roudnice nad Labem on the Elbe and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice .
geography
The village is located on rechtselbisch undercut slope above the Elbe loop of Roudnice nad Labem . The 278 m high cone of the Sovice rises to the northeast.
Neighboring towns are Vetlá in the north, Brzánky in the northeast, Kozlovice in the east, Předonín in the southeast, Obora, Dobříň and Bezděkov in the south, Roudnice nad Labem , Vědomice and Zavadilka in the southwest, Černěves in the west and Chodouny in the northwest.
history
Kyškovice was first mentioned in 1253. The Kyškov fortress was once located in the area. The village including the associated settlement Hamráček always belonged to the Raudnitz rule, whose owners after the diocese of Prague a . a. Puta von Schwihau belonged to. In 1577 the rule was sold to Wilhelm von Rosenberg . Via his widow Polyxena von Lobkowicz , the place came to the Lobkowicz , who remained its owner until the patrimonial rule was replaced in 1848. The former blacksmith's settlement in Hamráček used to be a horse cemetery.
The history writer Miloš Václav Kratochvíl stayed in Hamráček several times for recreational stays.
