action

During his transfer to prison, the dreaded bandit José Faradin escapes with the help of the young Anna Eden. The bounty hunter Luke Chilson, who is after Faradin, arrives soon after in the house where Anna is staying. He waits for the bandit and can outsmart him. Since the residents and his gang members are on his side, the situation is soon reversed. Luke is now treated cruelly by José; The character of the bandits is also shown in other ways: some residents are killed for no reason and their few possessions are robbed. Anna, who has changed in her convictions, now frees Luke, who, with the help of the remaining residents, can end the gang's reign of terror.

Reviews

The lexicon of international film saw a "cleverly staged, tough Euro-Western." The Italian critics were not enthusiastic about the cruelty and display of bad taste, although the precision of the staging was emphasized. The Evangelische Film-Beobachter comes to a similar assessment : “European Western, formally of ice-cold brilliance, but with shady characters full of inhuman brutality. We have to advise against it! "

Remarks

It is the first western with Tomás Milián . The international title is The Bounty Killer .
