Tito García

Tito García (actually Pablo García González , born August 17, 1931 in Salamanca , † May 6, 2003 in Madrid ) was a Spanish actor .

Life

García began his career as a torero in Gijón ; after six years he gave up this profession and moved to Madrid, where he made his acting debut in Pelusa . By the time he died, he played nearly 140 roles in film and television; he was mostly cast as a character actor in villainous or comedic parts, often as Mexican characters, for which he was predestined by his size and austere facial features. He was one of the busiest actors during the heyday of the spaghetti westerns , of which he shot about 40. In the 1970s and the following decade, he was mostly through his involvement in television seriesknown as Cuéntame , Periodistas , Médico de familia , Turno de oficio and Los ladrones van a la oficina .

Sometimes García was referred to as Paul Stewart or Bob Garcy .
